Removing a Recommendation

I agree with everything you said.

Not only is removing a recommendation hard, but all of the old and obsolete directions on the website ought to be updated or at least deleted.

I'm getting a message from the system telling me I am unable to remove a coach recommendation inadvertently posted to a student. I have tried several times over the morning and am unable to take it away. Help?

I am a student and one of my former teacher's repeated recommendations won't delete from my account.  I passed the skill (a few times actually), but since it is a repeated recommendation, I can't "remove" it from my mission since I already passed it once.  This is happening to all of the students who were in my class last year.  My former teacher even removed all of us from her classes, closed her account, and created a new account for her students this year just to try to help out my current teacher.  Unfortunately, some of her recommendations simply won't delete.  This probably has to do with the multiple, repeated recommendation problem that Khan is experiencing.  I hope this is top priority for Khan because these repeated recommendations are causing a huge problem for teachers and students.  My mom, who loves using Khan Academy, is desperately trying to keep my middle school teachers from abandoning the use of Khan because they are so frustrated with the repeated recommendations and other glitches.  Please help!

I am sorry that you are having trouble deleting recommendations - this is a glitch that the KA developers have been made aware of and they are trying to fix. I am glad that you generally love the site and hope that the KA Ambassadors can answer your questions and provide the support you need. Hello @Jd112561! I am sorry you are having an issue with a former coach. Have you tried deleting the coach? Go to your Coaches tab and click the Remove button. Please post back to this thread and let me know if it works.

PLEASE DO NOT take away my ability to look at my students' progress on their personalized RECOMMENDATIONS  list that I built for them! This is key to my ability to monitor individual student progress! My school runs year round and I will have 250 students on 250 different plans! Please, please, please don't take this tool away.

We serve high risk students...helping them to get back on track with their education and Khan Academy has been vital to being able to allow student to complete work at their own pace...and yet still have teacher oversite and instruction. I have created playlists that meet our district priority standards and they draw from different missions. I am at a Big Picture conference in St Louis right now and could not show other math teachers how I use this wonderful individualized teaching tool...named Khan Academy, because I could not access the information I needed from my present classes. You have changed things around and I can't check my student progress on my/their Unit 1 of Algebra 2...a playlist I bookmarked...because the site won't accept the bookmark, and the missi N keeps reverting to Early Math! Help! And when the message appeared that said "recommendation" column was going away...I was stunned! This tool is vital! Please, please, please allow me to recommend groups of exercises from a bookmarked list and allow me to check student progress on the exercises I have recommended sand that I can watch individual progress. Thank you!

Hello Open Doors Math! I think your suggestions and requests would be extremely useful to other teachers. There was an official update thread, New Coach Dashboard, regarding new feature roll out.
