Mobil app Language
How can i change language in mobile app (for android) or only english?
Hello everyone! Thanks for all the feedback. Currently, the language will match the language of the iOS device. In the meantime, I've sent your feedback over to the team.
I have the same problem. I'm from Spain and I want to use it in English too. Waiting for an answer! Thanks
Àlex
Go to Profile (in khanacademy app) / settings icon (right site of screen) / change language
Unfortunately, when you click on your name in the app, the only thing I can find close to a profile, it just shows my avatar and badges. I can double click and see what seems to be a picture of my desktop profile page, but can't change anything (clicking the change language button, for example, does nothing--there's no response). The reason I want to change to English in the app is that I'm finding the Spanish version to be buggy and frustrating to use.
@Rachel - we recently added support for this in the Android app, is that what you're using?
I'm using iOS (iPad). I think it's automatically detecting that my iPad as a device is set to Spanish. I'd rather not change my settings for the device itself just to change the language in the app.
Yeah, I totally agree. Because most of our international usage comes on Android devices, that had been prioritized, but I'll re-escalate your need for this on iOS too.
I see the website is now available in german. When is the language available in the mobile app (android) ??
Hi,
I'm experiencing the same problem.
I'm not familiar with the mathematical terms in my native language and prefer to learn in English. However it is not possible to change the language of iOS app.
Same problem. I use the website in English and I want to use it on my phone (IOS) in English too, but there is no option to change it.
Same problem. I use the website in English and I want to use it on my iPhone and iPad (IOS) in English too, but I can't see where to change it. It defaults to Norwegian.
Have someone tried to download from the US store instead of the default of your device?
It doesn´t work either.
Same problem. I use the website in English and I want to use it on my iPhone and iPad (IOS) in English too, but I can't see where to change it. It defaults to French.
Another vote to include this option in iOS please
Here another vote! please give IOS Languagge support too. Thanks
Please add language change option for iPad!
Need this in iOS please!
Hi, I'd like to know if the problem's going to be solved anytime soon. I want my little brother to learn math in German with Khan Academy on his iPad, but the only available option is English (unless we change the language for the whole device).
Surprisingly, the "Profile and Achievements" window on iPad is in German, with an English heading though.
The problem is still, we just want to change language because on the English version it has more content so please help the app
grow!
Hi guys!
Go to settings ok your iPhone, General, Language & Region, Prefer language order, if you want English in the app, put English first.
Please fix this situation :/ my device is set to French because I’m learning that language but the French mobile app doesn’t have many lessons as the English app does..
I have set the profile to Swedish so on the web it is Swedish.
But on the iPad it is still English even though i have set the entire device to Swedish, even after reinstalling the app.
Hi, everyone!
Great news! With the new Khan Academy v6.4.0 app update, you are now able to complete your Khan Academy exercises in your language of choice, even if it’s different from your device’s main language!
To adjust the language in the app, first make sure that you have updated your operating system to iOS 13. Then, do the following: click on the profile tab > select the gear icon to access the settings > Select Language & Curriculum > Select the desired language > Done!
