I would be interested in helping create content for this as well. How can we get Khan Academy to consider this?

Since the discipline of engineering is extremely broad. What parts of engineering would you like to be covered? I mean there is chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and so on.

I think there's some basic engineering curriculum that could be a jumping board for the site to develop more focused, discipline specific content. For example, tolerances, mechanics of materials, materials science, chemical and materials production, statics, dynamics, technical engineering problem solving, engineering problem solving in the real world, alternatives analysis methods, engineering economics, cost estimating, engineering business and management, government and engineering, the public and engineering, engineering math, etc. Granted this is coming from a civil engineer, but I do think there are a number of topics that are common to all forms of engineering.

Definitely include a very detailed section on statics, mechanics, dynamics, moment and shear diagrams, etc. Have an engineering topic that covers the core elements of engineering. I've seen plenty of people in higher level classes that cannot remember what they learned from statics, etc. A general engineering section would be great for people struggling with those topics or those that need a refresher course. 

Should this ever happen I would love to furnish some 3D printers to content creators as they are great tools for applying concepts.

Yeah I think that a separate section with the basics of engineering, the math and all of that, and then introductory courses on materials, systems, mechanics, etc would be great.

We need more engineers, and children knowing that the only limiting factor from them knowing engineering is their own intelect will make them learn like a lightning. Specially seeing how badly universities are working nowadays.

I would have loved to be able to learn the stuff that I'm learning today like a decade ago, and would have been able to do it very fast.

I'm willing to create content too.
