GED Test Prep
Khan Academy is my favorite resource while working with GED students. You have some test prep for the SAT and other standardized tests. Have you thought about making some test prep for the GED?

I am working to get my GED and Khan Academy has been recommended to me by many people, but it doesn't offer all the material I need to learn. It would really be helpful if a section could be created just for those trying to get there GED. I don't do well trying to learn in a class room but am good at learning on my own and at my own speed and I know many people who are the same way. So if it is possible could you please try to create something along those lines. Thanks. :)
I agree with Susan. Studying for the math portion of the GED is rather straight forward but the other subjects (Social Studies, English, and Science) are not. I wish I could find an email address for Maureen who does Education Partnerships at KA. Being a Teach For America teacher, maybe she would see the need and benefit of offering GED prep classes, or even just organizing content as KA has done for the SAT, GMAT, etc. Someone at KA must understand this population of students and their needs to get basic education outside of public schools and colleges.
To anyone trying to study for the GED. The best thing I think any of us can do is go through all of the videos and lessons step by step. Start with the stuff you know and brush up until you get proficient or mastered and continue from there. I know some things can be confusing. What I do is combine this site with other resources such as books and youtube as well as a GED class. Though the I must say that the class I attend Doesn't help much. The instructor doesn't know how to do the math and the students are all doing different things. no one is on the same page or level. I suppose it is up to determination and desire to learn. I have found that I learn more on my own with the help of this awesome site and my persistence and willingness to learn. It seems I didn't get a lot of this in school because my heart wasn't in it. Now it is. Good luck to all of you. I am seeing improvement in myself and still have a long way to go. It seems at times like I will never get it. I just keep coming back to Kahn Academy and am very grateful to Sal. God Bless.
I teach GED Math for my district's adult ed program and would love to see a designated math program that was geared to preparing my adult learners to succeed on their GED Math Exam.
Very compelling indeed! GED is also welcomed by many more institutions.
I'm really voting for GED prep to be implemented in KA.
Yes .. can you please help me?
Hi Matt. I originally posted this question to try to figure that out. There's nothing specifically about the GED on Khan Academy right now.
The GED is a computerized test, so the questions are formatted similarly to Khan Academy. If you do math up to Geometry on Khan Academy, that should help you prepare for the GED. Good luck!
Hi Matt and Revels. Check out your local community college for cheap GED classes.
