The Khan Academy team is excited to bring back some dynamic and relevant partner courses in the summer of 2023! Each of these courses brings the best of both worlds - the vast knowledge and resources of a partner organization, presented in an engaging and informative Khan Academy course.

Biodiversity | California Academy of Sciences

Biodiversity is a thrilling exploration of the variety of life on Earth and how it's interconnected. It's all about understanding the vast array of species, ecosystems, and genetic material that make up - and maintain the health of - our planet. Get ready to explore different ecosystems, from lush rainforests to the depths of the ocean, and discover the incredible variety of life they support.

This course can be helpful if you’re currently taking a biology or environmental science class, as it will give you a deeper understanding of the interrelationships between various species, and the fragile balance of ecosystems that biodiversity helps to maintain. Hi Khan Academy! Re: Wireless Philosophy:

Please cross-list the course in both Humanities and Life Skills.
Adding a unit test to Unit 1 Critical Thinking would be immensely helpful for classrooms. Later, exercises for cognitive biases, and the earlier units (2-4), would be helpful too
Please rename exercises to "Lesson title + comprehending the argument". Otherwise, it's confusing for both students and teachers to see five different comprehending the argument assignments across units.
Unit 10 Democracy needs "comprehending the argument" exercises. Also, political philosophy such as Original Position and Why Vote from Unit 3 Value theory can be added to Unit 10 as well, if it doesn't disrupt the flow.

Hi! Back with Wi-Phi suggestions for videos on AI.

Unit 5 could use more AI ethics videos on LLMs like ChatGPT, existential risks of Artificial General Intelligence, the alignment problem, and the question of whether we should even develop stronger and stronger AI in the first place. (Should there be, for instance, laws that halt further innovation in it? I'm not saying there should or shouldn't, but this is an important question.)

Unit 7 could have a video on AI and consciousness, for instance, covering the Turing test and Chinese room thought experiments. These AI videos can be cross-posted to AI for Education too! And just like that course, Wi-Phi/Philosophy on KA can also get regular updates.

You could also update Unit 7's title to "Consciousness" if you're also adding religio-philosophical accounts of consciousness (such as Yogācāra Buddhist idealism), and views such as panpsychism.

An Environment unit could be added, too, exploring climate change, non-human animals, and nature and development. Some videos from Unit 3 can be added here too, as well as some from the earth or environmental science courses if relevant.

I'd also love to see a unit on Gender, exploring the social ontology, ethics, and politics. Again, relevant Unit 3 videos can be added. A unit on Philosophy of Science (natural and social) would be fascinating too, as well as units on economics and ethics. All these, of course, are for the long term.
