Can I change the mastery % when I assign a mastery goal?

On Khan Academy, as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, once you assign a mastery goal to a student, you cannot directly change the mastery percentage for that particular goal. The mastery percentage represents the level of proficiency required for a student to achieve mastery in a particular topic or skill.

However, you have the option to create a new mastery goal with a different mastery percentage if you wish to change it for a student. By creating a new goal, you can set a different mastery percentage based on the desired level of proficiency you want the student to reach.

Here's how you can create a new mastery goal on Khan Academy:

1. Log in to your Khan Academy account as a teacher or coach.
2. Go to the student's profile or the class where you want to set the new goal.
3. Navigate to the "Goals" section.
4. Click on "Create New Goal" or a similar option.
5. Specify the subject or topic for the goal and set the desired mastery percentage.
6. Assign the new goal to the student or class.

I would like to use khan academy more this year --- in particular, MAPPERS recommended practice.   I know that i used it before to raise MAPS test scores, but I'd like to use it more as a starting point for my students instead of me picking out things to work on/assign to prepare for MAPS.   I didn't like it when we would assign so many minutes and kids would find ways to just watch videos, etc.   I would like to focus on mastery percentages and points.   Is assigning 2000 mastery points per week an achievable goal?   What are your thoughts?
