Learning algebra at 44, amongst other things!
I love this Academy! I would never be able to finally start learning the math I need to really realize the concepts in theoretical physics that I've been studying for over 20 years. I'm also learning the intricacies of chemistry which I previously knew through... research; and I love it. I wish I could get help personally to help me understand simplifying perfect squares (especially with fractions; anything with fractions I've forgotten. But I have been able to keep at it, and I am slowly getting better. It's great when I couldn't do long division six months ago (I'm a writer by nature); I am going to conquer my old nemesis Mathematics with Khan Academy's help! I'm glad that despite having financial constraints right now I am still able to donate a moderate amount each month so I feel I'm giving something back. My illnesses collectively make going back to college impossible for now, but I feel like I have found a place in which to learn. The videos have been a great help (I don't know why I can't remember the details of simplifying perfect squares arrrggh 🙃! But he makes it easy to keep watching and listening and I will prevail) so many thanks to him; I don't know his name but he's walked me through this stuff that I have struggled with since grade 7. Thank you Khan Academy and everyone who is involved in it for this amazing app/website. I'll definitely give you credit in my Nobel Prize speech once I solve dark matter/energy (laughing!). I look forward to advancing further. Peace; Christopher Paul Bettridge
