Would a mistake on a test without skill change affect the subject mark?

Sometimes I make a mistake on a test and it mentions I lost ranking on a test so I do the test again to get the skill as high as I can. Other times I make a mistake but all skills were unchanged, would taking the test again change anything? Increase a skill or energy points?
