Dear Khan Academy:
I am a substitute teacher, who has enjoyed exploring your academic services using the English and Spanish languages. My dilemma is returning to the English version of the Khan Academy. Presently using the Khan Academy in Spanish, I would like to know how I can switch to the English Khan Academy easily and freely. I have already tryed the top right corner where my name is located (configuracion) but with no avail.
Go here or here, then change the language like shown below:
Press "Guardar cambios", which I believe means "Save Changes".
If the link in the search bar says "https://es.khanacademy.org", change it to "https://khanacademy.org". This may work if the settings page doesn't change the language.
The simplest way to switch back and forth between Spanish and English is to type http://es.khanacademy.org and http://en.khanacademy.org as the URL at the top of your web browser (you don't actually need the http:// part). This works from any Khan Academy page -- just edit the letters in the URL that come before "khanacademy.org".
To change the default language, follow the suggestion "An0n3m0us" gave -- click on your name in the upper right, select "Settings" and then change your Primary language and click "Save changes".
I have done this in the settings menu, as one of my students decided to change his language to Spanish (he doesn't speak Spanish), but when trying to change it back I get a message that the birth date must be in the past. The problem is that the birth date box is grayed out and I cannot enter a birth date. Any suggestions?

I am currently having him change the web address from http://es.khanacademy.org to http://en.khanacademy.org in the URL at the top of the page. This is the ONLY way I have found that he can use the program. I emailed Khan Academy, but haven't gotten a response (2 weeks ago).
Yes, 3 years now from this discussion I still have the same problem. Typing the url all the time is somehow uncomfortable. I don't have money to afford a vpn and so the only thing I could think of is use Tor and configure it as if I were on the EEUU but that would make my internet be slower. (I'm not a guru by any means as you can see). I changed the language but it doesn't change; so I will stick with that solution.
