Top Menu (missing Algebra Basics link)

I agree. Please add it back. It is difficult to re-create this class with the existing curriculum topics. When are you planning to add it back?

The link to Algebra Basics is still missing. It has what I want, but I see no way to make assignments from it since it's not on the course list. Seems like this would be any easy fix. Any reason why it isn't being done? Any work around?

Echoing what others say above. I just discovered the Algebra Basics course, but I'm unable to assign it as a mission to my pre-algebra students. It's either "Pre-Algebra" or "Algebra I".

I don't understand why after 2 years this has not be fixed.  Has anyone found a way around it?  I am very frustrated by the lack of responds.

I suggest that one or more of you choose Report a Problem at the top of this page, to the right of center, and let Khan Academy know directly what you feel about this. They don't always monitor the Support Community, but they do read all of the problem reports and acknowledge them.

Thanks for the post; I just did as you suggested. I submitted a help request about this about two years ago as well, but it was never resolved. I recall at the time it was suggested I start a thread here or comment on an existing one to show it wasn't just me... so that's what I did. Here's another thread about the same thing.

Megan and everyone else, even if you use "Report a Problem", it doesn't always (in fact, it almost never seems to) get fixed. But the advantage is that it's guaranteed to be read by someone who works for Khan Academy, rather than this "crowd sourced" Support Community. I suspect that Khan Academy has their own agenda of what will get implemented and what is important to them, and they're going to stick to their own agenda and timetable. Witness all the suggestions for the restart button for tests, and it still hasn't been implemented.

Even if they have no plans to implement your suggestion (despite saying that they will pass it on to team members), their acknowledgement may include the reason why this link was removed. At that point, you may want to tell them why their reasoning is wrong. So that is why I suggested reporting this, even if they have reasons for not doing it.

The one type of situation in which I've observed them making changes is when something has happened that keeps Khan Academy from working at all for everyone or for a defined subset of users (such as the iOS or Android app users). I realize that this is an operational issue for the way you use Khan Academy, but Khan Academy may not see it that way.

I too would like to see Algebra Basics back in the menu of courses I can add to my class. I work with Community college students and have been using the skills in this course for several years successfully with students as a refresher/developmental course.
