I'm in grade 9. I need grade 12 pre cal for my job,but I have to take grade 10 and 11. Is it possible to take pre cal in university instead of taking two years of unnecessary pre cal?

I wanna be a journalist and the credentials say that I need pre cal (40S). I later found out that pre cal (40S) is for grade twelves. I'm not the best at math, that's why I'm going into the Arts/English pathway. Pre cal starts next year, which is grade 10. I just learned that I have to take two years of unnecessary pre cal just to be able to do the pre cal that I need. I was wondering if I could just take pre cal in university instead of taking all of the two years of the unnecessary math. A quick reply would be great!
