Out of Order Information
Some information that is taught is out of order. For example, a video in Algebra II called "Intro to the Binomial Theorem" mentions the sigma symbol, which was never taught beforehand. In chemistry, both of the units, Atoms, Compounds, and Ions and The Periodic Table assume the viewer knows about valence electrons and how they work in the periodic table. In US History, the section "Old and New Worlds Collide" of the World Collide unit has a practice at the very end that includes questions about information that are not taught until the next section, which is "Spanish Colonization". This is a very frustrating obstacle and I can't continue learning effectively here at Khan Academy with it. I suggest that questions align with the material taught, and the order of videos/units should build upon previous videos/units. To sum up, information and questions should be placed in an order based on material taught beforehand and should not assume the student's knowledge. This feature would be a great help and allow me to return to units and sections that I currently cannot learn from in Chemistry and Algebra II.
