Equivalent Expressions - written differently
Have any other teachers seen equivalent expressions written like the following from your text books?
Which expression is equivalent to (x2y)3 * x3?
A. x5y3
B. x6y3
C. x9y3
D. x18y3
This was the first time I have seen a problem written with the number mixed in with the variables. I am more familiar with equations looking like "(2xy)3*3x ". I solved it okay but I wanted to see if other educators had come across questions like this because I may need to find more examples to use within class.
