Division and Zeroes in Quotient

I am not an official or anything, but I suppose that I could try to help. I am not sure of exactly what your problem is, but from what I can infer, it seems like this:

• You might be inverting (switching) the numerator (top number of fraction, first number in equation, number that is being divided) and the denominator (bottom number of fraction, number after division sign in equation, number that is dividing).

For example, you are typing into a calculator:

Numerator = 179

Denominator = 9

(179 divided by 9)

179 / 9 = 19.88

But you mean:

Numerator = 9

Denominator = 179

(9 divided by 179)

9 / 179 = 0.05028

Hope this helps. I understand that you are asking about zeroes, but I am not sure that having a zero in the wrong place or anything like that is the problem.
