This has been asked for in some programs, so i will bring it here.

The Feature list: the new way to get on the hot list

The feature list: This has been brought up in a program, and many people have added it on there sub page. but what is it?

The feature list will be the new way to get on the hot list. the feature list has programs chosen by us and people get points on how good it is. you need to have a lot of points to get on the hot list. this will make it more of a challenge to get on the hot list- and more people can agree on what's on the hot list! that way things like button programs won't be able to get on the hot list by teacher permission alone.

What's the catch?

The catch is that in the program requesting it it's the teachers deciding the featured list. that makes it just like the current hot list!

here's my plan:

we vote in to decide the programs- nothing else! and new programs will be shown for 2 weeks. that gives new programmers a chance for people to see there work! after all, Issac Emerald and Chester Banks were never popular at the beginning! this will give others the chance to be as good as them!

Now you have heard my plea for the featured list. Will it be made or will hundreds of khaners be ignored?

Points and programmers.

People will be able to rate a program from 1-5. Whether they choose high or low determines how good people think the program is. People will not be able to vote for their own programs, to keep it fair.

The 2 week hold.

Some of you (Alias GameCheif) might have a problem with the 2week hold. The thing is, On the hot list people have strong holds that last so long, other good programmers get no recognition, simply because they are 1 spot lower. 2 weeks is a good amount of time because it is long but not too long. But don't forget that after 2 weeks you might shine on there again! This 2 week unit of time is so less experiances programmers have the chance to show what they got, and say what they're friends got, so more people can be shown! So GameCheif, i'm sorry, but i don't know what your issue is.

1. How would the point system work? Would there be averaging or an algorithm? Up to how many points can a user give the program?

2. The catch makes no sense, why would busy teachers need to be involved in a silly list list of popular programs? It should be completely automatic.

3. Chester Banks and Issac Emerald (among others) got popular by delivering awesome, creative programs. They didn't need the help of a system, they worked for their votes and reputation. I think a system like this would take away that challenge.

2. I had to work my way up(surprise I did that in 5 months), also Issac and Chester have been on for awhile, I don't think that's how, sub pages and friends? I started off with 7 subs, and now I have 84 as of making this post. The key is to make great programs, believe me if you make some pals then you will be able to share with them occasionally, and then when you have 10 subs you will start to climb

3. 2 weeks? What I will get dozens of programs on there, wait, it will be flooded off, just go down 2 pages of the hot list and there are a ton of new programs

4. It probably won't be made

1. I have edited the post for the point system to show.

2. Well they do monitor what programs are "hot" so...

3. There were less khaners then. now, they have flooded the hot list!(Sorry issac)
