I'm curious if anyone has advice on how to assign a grade to a student based on their work in Khan Academy.
The best method I've found so far is to assign a group of maybe 3 or 4 exercises to students, and give them a grade based on how many of those they complete. I try to include at least one easy exercise.
The problem is that many of the exercises are too difficult for some of my students, and I don't know of a good way to give them credit for at least making a good effort and maybe getting 60% or 80% of the questions right. It's all or nothing. Either they get 5 in a row for full credit, or they get no credit for each exercise.
I REALLY wish that Khan exercises would have increasing levels of difficulty, and would indicate to both student and teacher the highest level difficulty they mastered.
