Multitasking for iPad Pro (iOS devices)

This is also a major problem for me. I have a new iPad Pro 12.9" and I cannot use split screen view to open Notes.app alongside the Khan app. I'm doing some math courses and I need scratch space to solve equations, I have a nice Apple Pencil and it would be nice to have split screen so I can use Notes alongside the Khan app. But unfortunately, it does not allow split view, I can only hover Notes.app over the Khan screen, this covers some of the content.

This app really needs to get an update for iOS 11 support. Other educational apps allow split view on iOS 11, I guess I'll have to use those instead of Khan.

I agree. I was going to suggest this myself and then I saw this post so I am up voting, please add multitasking compatibility for the iPad Pro. I take notes with GoodNotes and this would be incredibly helpful.

Yes this would be great khan academy is the best online leaning app ! It will be awesome if it did split screen.

Is there any update on if/when this might be coming? I have to use YouTube at the moment as an alternative to khan academy when multitasking.

It has been a year since this suggestion was brought up. I really hope it wasn’t forgotten. I specifically bought the new 12.9 in iPad to take notes for classes and courses on khan academy. I was gravely disappointed when I couldn’t put a full notebook page next to khans app. The slide screen is useless for taking notes. I hope this gets addresssed soon or i May need to buy a paper notebook 😵

To everyone who has posted in this topic - I have been an adult learner user of the Khan Academy iPad app on an iPad Mini for about a year and a half. I've never been much of a note taker, and the small amount of notes I do take on Khan Academy are done via the old pencil and paper method. So I don't have a feel for what you're requesting here.

I'm sorry to have to say this, but please don't get your hopes up that this feature will be introduced for the iPad. I have made several requests, suggestions, and problem reports both here and by using the Report a problem link on the top of the Support Community pages for iPad app improvements. I have rarely seen any of these implemented, and the ones that I have seen have been some of the more serious reported problems, such as constantly seeing the "Error marking/making progress" popup and the disappearance of the question from the screen when using the scratchpad/sketchpad on exercises, quizzes, and tests. Other suggestions I have made, such as allowing iPad users to turn off the feedback sound when a question is answered correctly and the restoration of the consecutive days counter and the undo tool from the scratchpad/sketchpad, have not been implemented, some of them more than a year after I complained about them. In fact, I got back a reply that the undo tool was removed intentionally to improve the user experience! (Not according to me as well as to others who have also posted about this.)

Please. Add split view capability!!!

Hey guys! I‘m soon planning to get a iPad too and I was wondering if Khan Acadamy would work in split view so I could take notes while listening to videos. As I read from here, it is not possible so far, but has anyone tried to open Khan Acadamy in the browser and then use the split view?

Lack of split-screen ability is crushing me for my MCAT studying. Love everything you do on Khan Academy and hope I can make considerable donations in the future after residency, but right now this is making it so hard to study!

Everything else I do, I have the app open on one side of the 12.9” and a note taking app on the other. PLEASE add multi-tasking split-screen capability to KA app! 

Seriously! If the app can scale to a small phone screen, it ought to be able to handle split screen no problem.

When I using a Samsung android tablet a while back, I had no problem using Khan Academy in a split screen mode, or even a resizeable floating window.

Given that this request hasn't been acted upon in two years, however ... makes me feel like the app has been abandoned.

It's been 2 years, it would be great to do so on ios13. Please add this feature. Thanks.

Yes it’s about time guys. Using it with a note taking app in split screen is an absolute must. 

Just got an iPad Pro.  I have to use safari for Kahn academy and deleted the Kahn app so it wouldn’t open automatically.  Please add split screen.  Thanks.
