I believe that is a great idea for adding an alphabet section for younger kids in Khan Academy! With a parents help of course, the child (such as your brother) can learn as the progressively as they grow up!
Yes, I agree! Younger learners might have trouble reading the problems, so teaching them how to read or having a speaker read the question to them would be very helpful.
