Assigning lessons, units, quizzes and test

I'm going to add your suggestion to the to-do list for the coding group at Khan -- I think it's a good idea and at least want to know if there's a specific reason why it's not being done this way.  Thanks!

FYI: Khan Academy tells me that this is on the roadmap, but a few other things need to be addressed in the quiz/test area, so this isn't getting top priority yet.

I agree!  This would be hugely helpful.  Also, I would love if there were a way for the diagnostic quiz data to be used.  Right now nothing gets recorded when a student completes a diagnostic quiz.

Last year I had my students do some of the Pixar units.  I was able to assign the whole thing all at once.  This year, I am teaching Earth Science for the first time and thought the students might like to go through Khan Academy Earth Science module.  Nope.  I am really disappointed that I can't add an entire unit or module with activities and trophies like the pixar class that involved math and science in designing The Good Dinosaur skin.  The physics unit was pretty neat.  It was about designing cartoon hair and using Hooke's Law to make each strand basically a spring with different spring constants.  

I agree this would be very helpful when assigning remediation lessons for my students.

Please tell them to make this a priority. Assigning a unit instead of having to do each individual lesson would be wonderful. And we definitely need to at least be able to assign the final test.

Sixth grade math teacher here.  We are currently working through the stats unit.  I would love to be able to assign the entire until as part of our blended learning model that we are utilizing at our school.  I have to assign individual lessons to students.  Rather cumbersome to say the least.  I am looking forward to a solution to this issue.

Any idea on the timeline of this?  I have a summer program starting and would LOVE to be able to use Khan for a variety of practice and assessment purposes so that our pre/ post assessments look similar to - and align with - the practice and learning our students are doing.

Hello, is assigning the whole unit all with a single click an option yet? I was going through a unit now and it is very time consuming having to assign each individual video and practice section to groups of classes. 

Hello Kristen! Yes, if you have the course set to a particular mission/grade level then you can assign an entire unit with 1 click (see image below). Please let me know if you have any further questions, comments, or suggestions. Thank you for posting. 

I am trying to assign an entire lesson through Basic Geometry: shapes: Quadrilaterals.  However, it is bringing me to this box attached which does not let me assign anything.  Can anyone tell me how to assign everything in that box at once.

I get this same scrren even with the 3rd-6th grade courses. It's the end of the year and I would like the kids to review during the summer so that they're ready for the next math level in the fall.

Are you able to assign whole lessons to students who have not been assigned to a certain grade? This would be helpful as I have students of all different grades, who are working at different levels. I would like to be able to assign each one a whole lesson (not just one video or article or practice problem) but not have them assigned to a certain grade. Thanks,

Is there any way you could pass along the suggestion to allow us to assign units from other courses for our students? If we identify areas that need supplemental learning to review the building blocks for the current lesson or units that Khan Academy classifies into a separate course (e.g., logarithms are in Algebra 2 on Khan Academy rather than Precalculus) from our curriculum/pacing, it would be much easier to be able to just assign a unit from another course for those students rather than having to add the students to the other course just to be able to assign a particular unit to that student.

This would be very helpful. I would like to add the fractions unit for my students. I have some who are comfortable working on addition/subtraction and working towards multiplication//division, while some don't understand the very basics of fractions.

If I could assign the whole unit it would be great for differentiation.
