Should We Take Notes on Videos Below Our Current Grade

I understand (from your daughter's perspective) what it's like to struggle with certain concepts and I've learned that Yes, it would be completely beneficial for her to take notes on those 2nd grade videos. In fact, it's good for her to take notes on anything. 

Even if it's quite a ways behind where she's supposed to be, if it suits her level go for it. I was very behind in my math once, but my level in literature was above collage. My mom gave me math that was suited for my level and let me take off in the things that I loved and excelled in. Also, remember that there's more than one way to get to A to B. What works for her might not be what works for everyone else, teachers may count it wrong, and it may take her a little longer, but it still works and she's gonna be great. 

Go with what works for her and be assured that it is very beneficial to take notes. Even if they're on something below what she's supposed to be.
