How can I go back to the classic Khan Academy experience as an independent learner?
Khan Academy has been reimagined for teachers and their students! We are thrilled to offer these updates to ensure a more streamlined and engaging learning experience. Below we have some resources if you'd prefer to experience the platform as an independent learner, outside of the classroom experience.

- Why you are seeing the updated reimagined Khan Academy experience
- How to tell if you are enrolled in classes
- How to stay in your classes, but access the features as an independent learner
- How to transition your account from being enrolled in classes, to being an independent learner instead
Why am I seeing the reimagined Khan Academy experience?
The following account types will see the reimagined Khan Academy experience:
- Accounts with the teacher role enabled (this includes combo Parent + Teacher accounts)
- Accounts which have gone through the teacher onboarding.

- Any account rostered with Khan Academy Districts .
How can I tell if I am enrolled in classes?
- You will see the reimagined Khan Academy experience upon login. Here's what it looks like!
- You also can visit https://www.khanacademy.org/profile/me and if it says "My classes" on the lefthand side, you are enrolled in the class listed there.
If you need to stay in your Khan Academy classes for your school or teacher, but want to still see the independent learner experience:
- Visit: https://www.khanacademy.org/profile/me
- This page will take you to the classic Khan Academy experience, where you can continue learning independently and access features such as:
- Badges
- Energy points
- Avatars
- The classic learner profile

Note: Clicking on a class title will take you back to the reimagined experience. Keep the https://www.khanacademy.org/profile/me URL handy!
If you would like to transition your account to be an independent learner (aka leave your classes):
- Visit https://www.khanacademy.org/profile/me/teachers
- Click "Remove" next to the teachers of the classes you are enrolled in

Click "Remove" on the confirmation popup.
NOTE: as this popup says, clicking "Remove" will delete all your assignment data and grades. So if you are still in school, check with your teacher(s) before you click this!
