How do I browse courses and content in Khan Academy?

Browse Subjects lets you explore courses and content across Khan Academy.

You can use Browse Subjects to learn something new, practice skills on your own, or explore content beyond your assigned work.

To open Browse Subjects, select Browse Subjects from the navigation menu.

Find a subject

Browse Subjects organizes content by subject area. Select a category to see the available courses.

Available subjects may include:

The courses available may change over time.

Select any course to view its units, lessons, and activities.

From a course page, you can:

Note: Some courses may open in a separate Khan Academy window or tab. This is expected. Your progress will still be saved to your account.

Work completed through Browse Subjects still contributes to your learning progress.

As you practice, your skill levels may improve from:

Earning Proficient on a skill also contributes to your weekly streak.

You can view your progress on your dashboard and on the Achievements page.

Browse Subjects is designed for self-directed learning.

While work completed through Browse Subjects contributes to your progress and streaks, it does not earn Gems.

Gems are earned through teacher-assigned work in your Learning Queue.

Your Learning Queue contains work assigned by your teacher.

If you're looking for assigned work, start with your Learning Queue.

If you want to explore a topic, review a skill, or learn something new, Browse Subjects is a great place to start.

Your progress is saved automatically.

If you'd like to revisit something you've worked on, you can:
