How can administrators use interim assessment performance reports?
Performance reports help administrators understand how students are performing at different levels, including across districts, schools, and individual classes.
Access performance reports
- Click your name and select Administrator dashboard
- Click Assessments
- Select an assessment
- Click the Performance tab
Understand the different report tabs
Within the assessment view, you can switch between several report tabs:
- Completion to track assessment completion across schools and classes
- District overview to see performance across all schools in a district
- School overview to view performance for a specific school
- Performance to explore detailed results for a specific class
Start with the performance overview
At the top of each report (District overview, School overview, or Performance), you’ll see a summary of results.
This includes:
- Average overall score
- Scores by domain (for example: Expressions, Functions, Statistics)
- A score distribution chart
Understand performance levels
Student scores are grouped into three performance levels:
- Beginning
- Approaching
- Demonstrating

Review performance across schools and classes
Below the overview, you’ll see a table with results.
The table changes depending on the selected report:
- In District overview, results are grouped by school
- In School overview, results are grouped by class
- In Performance, results are focused on a specific class
This includes:
- School or teacher and class name
- Students who started and completed
- Average overall score
- Scores by domain
View detailed class performance
In the Performance tab, you can select a specific school, teacher, and class to explore more detailed results.
This view includes additional tabs such as:
- Class overview
- Student performance
- Student growth
- Explain Your Thinking
- Engagement
These views provide more detailed insights into student performance for a specific class.
What administrators can view
- Engagement data is visible in the Performance tab for a selected class
- Explain Your Thinking insights are also available within class-level views
Engagement data and Explain Your Thinking insights are available in class-level views. For deeper analysis and instructional use, teachers can explore these reports within their own dashboards.

You can use performance reports to:
- Identify differences in performance across schools or classes
- Spot patterns across domains
Troubleshooting missing data
If you’re not seeing expected results:
- Confirm students have completed the assessment
- Check back after more students finish
