How to Use Speech-to-Text with Khanmigo

Updated

You can use speech-to-text to speak directly to Khanmigo instead of typing your messages. Here's how to use this feature:

1. Turn on voice input

  • Click the blue microphone icon in the Khanmigo chat window.
  • If this is your first time using voice input, your device will ask for permission to access the microphone.
    • Choose either the "Allow while visiting the site" or "Allow" to continue using voice input.

2. Speak your message

Once the microphone is active:

  • Start speaking clearly into your device’s microphone.
  • A blue dot will appear under the microphone icon, showing that Khanmigo is listening.
    • As you speak, a blue audio wavelength icon will appear below the microphone icon, indicating Khanmigo is picking up your voice.
  • After a short pause, Khanmigo will display a text version of what it heard and continue the conversation based on your message.

Tip: If you're not seeing the blue dot or the voice input isn’t working, check your browser’s microphone permissions and make sure your device microphone is working properly.
