What Khanmigo tools are available for school and district administrators?

Khan Academy offers a set of Khanmigo tools specifically designed to support school and district administrators. These tools help save time, support data-driven decisions, and make it easier to communicate with staff and families.

What tools are included?

Administrators have access the following Khanmigo tools:

  1. Letter of Recommendation – Quickly generate professional, personalized recommendation letters.
  2. Course Snapshot – View high-level course insights, including how many students are reaching 2+ skills to Proficient+ (STP+), and explore unit-level data to guide instructional decisions.
  3. Chat with GPT – Ask Khanmigo to help with a variety of tasks or brainstorm ideas.
  4. IEP Assistant – Draft IEPs to support students.
  5. Refresh My Knowledge – Brush up on academic topics or concepts.
  6. SMART Goal Writer – Create goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
  7. School Newsletter – Instantly generate newsletters that highlight Khan Academy usage and important updates for staff and families.

How do I access the Khanmigo admin tools?

You can access the tools in 2 places:

  1. From the Administrator dashboard:
    Navigate to your Khanmigo Administrator dashboard and click on the Khanmigo tools link on the lefthand menu. 
  2. From the Khanmigo dropdown at the top of the screen:
    Click the Khanmigo button in the top navigation bar, then select Admin tools from the dropdown menu.

Please note: any Khanmigo documents you create with either the Teacher Tools or Admin Tools will all show on the "My Documents" page. There is no separate "My Documents" page for the Teacher Tools and Admin Tools.
