Math plan for folks entering Class 6
Welcome mathematical adventurer. Yes, we are all socially distanced and washing our hands more than we like, but that doesn't mean we stop learning! If you stay focused and train regularly according to the following schedule, you'll enter this year more prepared than you might believe. Remember, your brain is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets.
And you learn the most when you make mistakes and learn from them.
We have designed this course keeping only the most essential skills in mind. This course will help you focus on mastering the skills that you learnt in earlier classes which are super important for chapters to be covered in Class 6.
The schedule below gives you lessons to focus on within the Class 6 (Foundation) course on Khan Academy. This course is divided into 30 lessons. Each lesson contains 2-3 videos and 2-3 exercises and will take you about 30 minutes to finish. The links to these lessons are attached in the schedule.
Try to watch all the videos and practice all the exercises of the ‘lesson of the day’. Don’t worry if you miss a particular lesson on a given day. You can always come back to it later.
The more questions you get correct in our exercises, the more “mastery points” you’ll earn. We would like you to use these points as a tracker for progress. For each week try to get your total number of mastery points closer to the target in the table below (and see the picture above to know where to find your mastery points).
No worries if you fall behind. Just try to practice regularly and do what you can.
