Community Update: September 2018 Programming Contest Winners (Futuristic Tech)!
Thanks to everyone who participated in September's Programming Contest! The theme of this month's contest was "Futuristic Tech," and entrants were invited to create projects that showed technologies of the future! From "pens of the future," to intergalactic sonic ships, these inventions spanned an impressive array of coders' futuristic visions!

Why we chose this program:
This program has a great use of P3D and neat visualizations. The interactive 3D augmented reality proposed by this project is certainly an interesting idea to consider.

Why we chose this program:
This program's use of 3D objects was very creative and interesting. The renderings are done on the 2D canvas using a transformation engine, which is nicely done. The lights in the portal are creative, and the ability to rotate the model is a nice touch.

This program includes lots of user interactivity. The ability to customize the different properties of the pen is very cool! This is overall a very neat interpretation of futuristic tech.

The program contains an interesting background story with lots of information, and provides interesting thoughts about what motivates futuristic tech. The game aspect of this program was also well done.

The animations of this program are very clean and sleek, which give the program a very nice visual appeal. The simplistic and minimalistic design fits very nicely with the topic, and looks very nice!
