Teacher Guide: How to use the Khanmigo Teacher Tools in my Canvas account?

Khanmigo’s powerful suite of teacher tools are available directly in Canvas! Once your administrator has enabled them for your Canvas instance, follow the below steps to finish installing them on your Canvas account. 
- Shortcut! Here is a video showing the steps below

Instructions for installing the Khanmigo Teacher Tools on your Canvas account: 

  1. Click the “Courses” tab from the lefthand menu and select a course
  2. Slick the “Settings” tab within that course
  3. Click the “Navigation” tab within the Settings
  4. Click and drag the Khanmigo Teacher Tools tile into the visible section 
    - If you aren't seeing the Khanmigo tile here, it means your administrator has not installed it for you yet. They can follow the steps in this article to do so
    - Please note: the Khanmigo will never be visible for your students, even when visible on your on your Canvas teacher account. 

  1. Click “Save” 
  2. Now you will see the Khanmigo Teacher Tools on your Canvas Course(s)! Click on it to complete the final steps
  3. Log into an existing Khan Academy account, or sign up for a new Khan Academy account
    - Are you a Khan Academy Districts teacher? Log in to your existing Khan Academy District rostered account. 
           - For districts using Clever, the recommended login option is using the Clever SSO.
           - For districts using ClassLink, the recommended login option is using email and password.

         

  1. If you have a Khan Academy account but can't remember the password, no problem! Try the below options:  
    - Using the “Continue with Google” or “Continue with Clever” to sign in
    - Click “Login with email” and enter your email address. Then click the “Forgot password” link 

       

     

  1. Once you are logged into a Khan Academy account, you are all set! Enjoy the Khanmigo Teacher Tools!
