How can we help?

Which sites/domains do I need to allow so my students can access all of Khan Academy?

Updated

There are a few situations in which you, your students, or children may not be able to access all of Khan Academy's features because of the firewall or ad blockers set up for them. This article will go through a few questions or scenarios you may encounter and how to resolve them.

Question: Our students have email addresses but can only receive emails from approved domains. Which domains do I need to add as exceptions for our students to receive emails from Khan Academy?

  • Answer: the below domains should be added:
    • khanacademy.org (a variety of senders within that domain)
    • khanacademy.zendesk.com to be able to log into the Help Center and send support requests
      • If you have already done this and you or your students are not receiving a response from our Support team, we recommend re-submitting it and double checking you have spelled your email address correctly on the request.

Question: I'd like to allow (remove viewing restriction to) the Khan Academy website so that all the material is available to my students. Which domains should I allow access to?

  • Answer: Please add the below URLs to your allow list to ensure you and your students have access to all Khan Academy has to offer:
    • khanacademy.org
    • kastatic.org
    • kasandbox.org
    • ka-cs-scratchpad-audio.s3.amazonaws.com
    • youtube.com
    • youtube-nocookie.com
    • googlevideo.com
    • cookielaw.org
    • If your students log in via Google or Facebook, you also need to whitelist the URLs for the respective login pages (for the Google app engine)
    • Make sure that iframe access ("content from another origin") is enabled for any browsers being used on the devices that your students are using.

Question: If I am using an AdBlocker, do I need to take any action to make sure Khan Academy is working properly?

Question: Do I need to accept all cookies from Khan Academy in order to see all the features + content?
