Bring Khanmigo to Indian Students
Dear Khan Academy Team,
I am writing to you today as a student in India who, along with countless others, deeply values the mission of Khan Academy to provide a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere. Your platform has been a game-changer for many of us, helping us to build strong foundations and succeed in our studies.
We were incredibly excited to hear about Khanmigo, your AI-powered tutor and teaching assistant. The potential of this tool to provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring is immense and could be a significant leap forward for students across India. We understand that you have already launched Khanmigo for teachers in India, which is a fantastic step. However, the student-facing version of this tool, which provides personalized learning and tutoring, is currently only available for a fee in the US.
While the current pricing in the US ($4 per month or $44 per year) is very affordable by American standards, it is important to recognize that this price point may not be equally accessible for many Indian families. To truly live up to your mission of making education accessible to everyone, we respectfully request that you consider a special, localized pricing model for Indian students.
A localized pricing plan would ensure that Khanmigo is not a privilege for the few, but a powerful and affordable tool for all students in India. This would allow a huge number of learners, who are already using Khan Academy, to benefit from the advanced AI tutoring and support that Khanmigo offers.
We believe that by making Khanmigo affordable and accessible in India, you would be making a profound impact on the educational landscape of the country. This would not only help individual students like me to succeed, but also contribute to a more educated and empowered generation.
Thank you for your consideration. We are hopeful that Khan Academy will bring Khanmigo to Indian students with a pricing model that reflects the economic realities of our country.
Sincerely,
A dedicated Khan Academy student in India
