color coded answer work

I am currently taking the Algebra 2 lesson course and have found the videos extremely helpful not only in the way it is explained, but also from how all the example problems are color coded. But when I get a question wrong during the quizzes, it is difficult to understand how they are manipulating the numbers to get the right answer when it is all in black. I even spent a full 4 days struggling to understand one lesson in unit 6 when I eventually realized that if the answer work was color coded, then I would have understood almost immediately.
