(Pre-Algebra Math Patterns: Table ) Formula Check

Hello Everyone,

I recently started my journey into mathematics with the Pre-Algebra Course.

In the lesson in the description I made a formula to calculate people sitting at tables that I would like to have examined by some of you more math savvy folks, and maybe come away having learned new things :D.

It goes like this: 6 + 4 (x -1) where x is the number of tables .

I tried to come up with a more universal formula where you could have any number of ppl sitting at either ends and variable newcomers to the table, but that quickly exceeded my skill level :D
