Progress Trajectory if LSAT Diagnostic Untimed
I wonder if, and can only assume that, others who have chosen to take the Diagnostic Test untimed have found themselves discouraged upon receiving their Test 1 results. Given that time management is such a strong feature of the LSAT, it's misleading to offer a Diagnostic Test score as indicative of someone's "baseline," or a point from which to grow. I'm certain that my understanding of LSAT content has increased since taking the Diagnostic Test, but my Test 1 score was lower because I lacked efficiency, especially in the Analytical Reasoning (Logic Games) section.
Even while understanding that I shouldn't use my untimed Diagnostic Test as a benchmark, it's annoying to see that number as a heading for Practice Overview; it just doesn't seem significant. And the graph intended to show my progress toward my goal displays a decline since I didn't "do as well" on my Test 1 (timed) as my Diagnostic Test (untimed). I'm all about the value in learning to respond reasonably to set-backs, and having had some time to think this through am unruffled/amused by my "lack of progress," but it'd be great if others could be spared the frustration.
