Student appearing as both pending and as a current student

I am using Google Classroom sync to add my students into Khan Academy over the summer.  I just sent out a notice to all the students who were still appearing as "Pending students" in my KA summer class and to remind them to sign into KA with their school account.  One of those students replied that she was already signed into KA with her school account and sure enough, I found her on my class roster.  I resynced the Google classroom but I still see her name on both the "Pending students" list and the class roster with the same email address.  How does this get updated when students join Khan Academy?
