Does the timer on the practice set automatically pause while you are reviewing answer explanations?

Does the timer on the practice set automatically pause while you are reviewing answer explanations? I like the timer overall but will spend a few minutes reviewing and logging any questions that I struggled with into a spreadsheet, but I just want to be sure that it isn't counting this time as active time.
