I have recently discovered badges that you might recognize, but if you click on the link for each of them, you will see unfamiliar descriptions.

What are these badges?

I think the "(old)" at the end of the name means that the badge has been retired and can no longer be earned.

They're the old versions of the mastery badges, you can see that they say "proficiency" instead of "mastery". They were retired in favor of the mastery badges.
