Sometimes I want my son or daughter to practice a particular skill multiple times in one day. To do that, I assigned one exercise a few times. The problem with this is that Khan sees that I've assigned the same exercise multiple times and when my child completes the first assignment, Khan shows all of them as complete.

For example, today I assigned "Break apart 3-digit subtraction problems" twice so my son could get a lot of practice in. But when he finished the first assignment, Khan marked both assignments as completed just because they are the same skill.

If something is assigned twice, it should be counted individually. Parents/teachers might want a student to practice a skill multiple times (multiplication tables being a great example) but with the current system, all assignments will show as complete when the student only completed one of them.

Hi Colin T,

I completely understand the need to be able to assign the same piece of content multiple times so that your child can practice the skill more than once.

At the moment, we do not have a way to bypass the system but my best suggestion would be to assign the practice, quiz, or test once, and then once your child has completed it, reassign it so that they can get a new score.

Also, please note that the student can also redo the assignment as many times as they want and if, for example, they get a 75% on the first try and they do it again and get a 100% then the best score will update in the system and you will also be able to see how many times they have attempted the assignment from the Manage tab in your Teacher dashboard.

This is indeed a feature, that would make Khan Academy more usefull for me as a K-12 teachers.

I would love it if the students were able to get more practice. Especially in reading, where my son needs it the most. He was given 4 different articles with 1 question each and he got a 50%. If he repeats it all he has to do is remember what the answers were to be able to pass.
