Course Request: A Technical Machine Learning (ML) Course, Not Just AI Literacy
Hi everyone,
I know Khan Academy already has great resources on AI for Education, but these modules focus mostly on using generative AI, prompt engineering, and AI literacy.
I would like to request a dedicated, technical course on Machine Learning (ML).
Instead of just learning how to chat with an AI, I want a course that teaches us how to build and train models. Khan Academy already has the perfect math foundation for this (Linear Algebra, Calculus, and Statistics). A proper ML course would tie all of those together.
What I hope a Khan Academy Machine Learning course would cover:
-
The Math of ML: How gradients, matrices, and probability are used to train algorithms.
-
Core Algorithms: Supervised vs. unsupervised learning, linear/logistic regression, and decision trees.
-
Intro to Neural Networks: A conceptual and mathematical deep dive into how deep learning works.
-
Hands-on Concepts: How to split data into training/testing sets and evaluate a model's accuracy.
There are many videos on the internet about AI, but very few places offer the step-by-step, mastery-based exercises that Khan Academy is famous for. This would be a game-changer for students wanting to enter computer science and data science fields.
If you want to learn the actual science and math behind Machine Learning, please upvote this post!
Thank you,
