Different Lessons Have Same Videos
When responding to someone's Question under a video (or article), I may assume they are doing it as part of one whole course (such as Algebra 1) and I assume that, the video or article is one of its kind so there is no video in another course; most likely the video is also part of another course (such as 6th grade math), and they don't know half of what I write for them, like I might be writing a thing that I don't understand and talking about that thing in relation to previous videos (like a previous video might have another lesson in "algebra one" that is not in "6 grade math"). This happens repeatedly, wastes everyone's time, and is very frustrating and annoying.
I have not been able to find a way to list all the different courses that use a particular video (or article), and all the questions posted in the same place. If there is a way to tell, I'd love for someone to enlighten us.
If there's no way for users to tell, I strongly encourage the Khan Academy staff to consider making that enhancement part of any future changes to how the website works.
Until then, would KA staff be willing to add notes to the "About" section of any video (or italicized summary of any article) that is used in different courses, listing which courses use the module? Or make different chats for different courses with the same video.
If there's no easy way for KA to compile such a list, perhaps they could take data from volunteers as they come across these multiply used videos & articles and let some trustworthy volunteers to add it for them by giving them editing permissions.
