I am considering using SAT Practices in the Classroom two hours a week. Does anyone have any recommendation of how best to transfer SAT practices into Classroom grades for students? Where should I begin? Should I create assignments for everyone so they are all working on the same activity or let the individuals work on their own independent activities? Thank you! Great question! I'm thinking through this now myself.
We are thinking about using KA as our online SAT prep class. Each student will link their College Board account and get a personalized study plan. I think I will grade them on (1) the # of hours they spend each week on the recommended skills, and (2) completion of the assignments I'll give. I'm going to assign activities on SAT strategies.
We are going to make the class P/F.
I also thought require them to do one full length practice test and grade that just for "completion". Get 100% on it for doing it. Try to make the emphasis of the class on preparing for the SAT not the grade in this little class.
ANyone else have other ideas?
