Hi, I was searching for videos solving problems of polynomial long division similar to one that I came across in an assignment, but I haven't found any. I'm starting to think maybe there was a typo in my assignment. The problem is (6y^3-y^2-10)÷(3x+4), is it possible to solve this problem, given the fact that the dividend and divisor have different variables? I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this, thank you!!

There's no way to divide those two polynomials, since the variables are different and there's no "x" in the numerator. I don't know the context of the problem in your book, but it seems to have been a typo, or they're just wanting you to write "6y^3 - y^2 - 10" over "3x + 4" as a fraction to show that it can't be simplified.
