Great news, we will publishing updated units for AP Physics 1 throughout the 24-25 school year!

The updated units are aligned to the updated Course and Exam Description for AP Physics 1.

- The updated units include new and improved articles, videos, and practice exercises.

- There is an increased focus on deep understanding of the fundamental physical principles, as well as data analysis skills!

- This also means that these new units may replace 1 or more current units.

The units will be:

Unit 1: Kinematics
Unit 2: Forces and translational dynamics
Unit 3: Work, energy, and power
Unit 4: Linear momentum
Unit 5: Torque and rotational dynamics
Unit 6: Energy and momentum of rotating systems
Unit 7: Oscillations
Unit 8: Fluids

Unit 1 was published in late September and Unit 2 was published 12/2/24. Even if you completed the original units, we recommend you revisit the new ones as they are much more aligned to the updated course and exam description!

The remaining units will be published throughout the 24/25 school year.

Hi Watjohnson,

Thanks for the note and feedback, we're sorry it's caused some issues for you and your classes.

In terms of recovering the grades, please submit an issue here and our team can take a look.

Regarding the remaining updates:
- One more set is being added to Unit 4 this week and nothing is being removed.
- At that point, units 1-4 would be totally done and won't have more updates.
- Unit 5 will be updated probably early March, then it won't have any more updates.
- Units 6-8 will be updated in the months after that, possibly out of order.
I know that this probably isn't as specific as you'd like, but I hope it helps.

Hello Alex,

Do you all have a timeline for the release of the new content. I have run in to an issue where I have assigned questions to my students only to have their grades erased from the system because an update occured and content was removed. Is there any way to recover those grades when this occurs? Is there any way to know if a unit is about to change? This happened most recently with the Linear Momentum unit- and I lost 3 assignments.
