Suggestion - Multi tasking/split screen on android

Currently, when I make Khan academy a window in a split screen on nougat, the video I'm watching pauses when I move to the other app. Is there a way it could be programmed to keep the video going when this happens, allowing me to take notes on a video as I watch?
