Hello Francia! My name is Lisa Krueger and I am a Khan Academy Ambassador teaching in Chicago. If your students are 13+ they can

1. click on their name
2. select Settings 
3. under Basics change username
4. click Save Changes
5. under Passwords create a new password
6. click Change Password

If your students are -13 then their parents are the only ones who can change usernames & passwords. Hopefully this helps. Thank you for posting. 

When I click on a students name, there isn't a 'setting' button. I cannot for the life of me find their passwords or figure out how they login. It really shouldn't be this difficult.

Hello Sarah! I am sorry this process is so frustrating to you. Hopefully together we can get you and your students up and running. If you are looking at the students under the Manage Students tab there is no way to see or find their passwords. Due to the fact that Khan Academy was originally set up for parents and their children to use the site, there is currently no way to print off passwords once the account is created. This is a feature that many users have requested and KA is aware of the need for classroom teachers. As a classroom teacher if you create accounts for students under 13 you have 3 options 1) Take a screen shot of the enrollment page or 2) Write down student usernames & passwords or 3) Print off the email KA will send you with usernames and passwords. Unfortunately, KA does not resend email so do not delete. If your students are over 13 they can follow the steps outlined in my response to Francia to edit password. I am a teacher and my class is 3rd grade.  I want to change their usernames so it matches their usernames they use for their computers in school.

I'm happy to inform you that teachers are now fully able to access their students' settings and make changes on their behalf!

You can edit your students' nicknames, usernames, reset their passwords, gender, primary language, date of birth, and accessibility settings. For a complete guide on how to do so, please check out this article.
