Is the AP/College US Govt & Politics Course a semester or year long course? My daughter is a jr in high school and she needs a semester of Gov't and a semester of Economics. We are homeschooling for the semester she needs gov't so we are using Khan Academy. Is this typically year long course or semester?
Hi, I've actually taken that class and used Khan to help me study for tests. This actually varies a lot from school-to-school, because some use it as a semester course and others as a year. I would judge which route is best for your daughter by whether she's strong in humanities subjects already as well as how she's handled other AP/advanced material. The class is supposed to be equivalent to a college semester course of US Government and Politics, so keep that in mind while making your decision.
