How can I use Khan Academy to study for the GED?
While Khan Academy doesn't have a dedicated GED course, we offer a multitude of practice content which can help you or your students study for all 4 GED subject tests (Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science). All practice content is free and can be accessed on Khan Academy via a computer or on the Khan Academy app (Google Play and iOS App Store)
This article will outline:
- The Khan Academy courses which map most closely to the different GED tests.
- When applicable, we will share with you the Course Challenge links for those courses. Each Course Challenge is 30 questions long and covers all the skills in the course.
- This is a less overwhelming option than trying to finish each entire course
- Finishing a Course Challenge will give you a starting point to know which other Khan Academy articles, videos, practice exercises and quizzes can help you study.
- Teachers, you can also assign the Course Challenge to your students!
We also encourage you to check out the official practice tests on the GED site and study guides on the official GED site to gauge which specific skills you may need to use Khan Academy to practice.
