What are Khan Academy assessment reports?

If your district is using Khan Academy assessments, administrators and teachers have access to reporting tools that help monitor performance and track assessment participation.

Assessment reports provide visibility into how students are progressing and how testing is moving forward during an assessment window.

There are currently two types of assessment reports available:

• Performance Reports, which show how students scored after completing an assessment
• Completion Reports, which show who has started, is in progress, or has completed an assessment

Both report types are designed to support schools and districts in planning, tracking, and following up during the testing window.

Who can access assessment reports?

Access depends on your role:

• District administrators can view data across all schools and drill down to school, class, and student-level reports.
• School administrators can view reports for their school and drill down to class and student-level reports.
• Teachers can view class and student-level reports for their assigned classes.

If you do not see the Assessments tab in your Admin Reports section, your district may not currently be participating in Khan Academy assessments.

Performance Reports

Performance Reports help you understand how students performed after completing an assessment.

These reports include overall scores, Domain Scores, and engagement information such as rushing behavior and Explain Your Thinking insights.

Performance reporting is currently available for select assessments.

Completion Reports

Completion Reports help you monitor assessment participation in real time.

This report:

• Shows which students have started, are in progress, or have completed the assessment
• Provides visibility into time spent and rushing indicators

Depending on your role/permissions, you’ll be able to see this information at the school, class, and student level.

Completion reporting is available for both Pilot and Beta assessments.

• Beta: Algebra 1 and Geometry
• Pilot:: Math (6-8) and English Language Arts (9-12)
