Do my students have to watch an entire assigned video in Khan Academy Reimagined?
Opdateret
Students must watch at least 90% of a video for it to be marked complete.
However, they can move on to the next activity in their learning queue even if they haven’t watched that much.
What happens when a student starts an assigned video?
When a teacher assigns a video, students can press play and:
- Watch the entire video
-
Watch part of the video and exit early by selecting "Next" to move on to the next activity
- If they choose to exit early, a pop up will inform them they can skip the video or continue watching.
- If a student skips a video, they can continue working on other activities in the unit. The skipped video will reappear later in their queue, giving them another chance to watch it before completing the unit.
A video will only be marked complete if the student watches at least 90% of it.
What teachers can see
In your teacher dashboard:
- You can view assigned videos in both the Assignments tab and Scores view.
- The video will show as incomplete unless the student watches at least 90%.
- You can also see how much time a student spent on each activity by checking their Activity log.
