What are the basic password requirements for Khan Academy?

There are three basic requirements for account passwords in Khan Academy:

• Passwords must be at least eight characters long, and cannot be longer than 1000 characters.
• Passwords must use at least two different characters.
• Passwords cannot include the user's name, nor can they be their username.

Remember, your password shouldn't be too easy! Khan Academy doesn't allow some specific passwords that are particularly common or easily-guessed. You can learn more about creating strong passwords from our lesson about that topic.
