Have you ever wanted to create assignments in Khan Academy before any students have joined your class? Now you can do just that!
Teachers are now able to create assignments for classes that don’t have any students enrolled in them yet. This means teachers can begin planning out their Khan Academy assignments before the school year starts!
To do this, select the “All future students” option when creating a new assignment. This is shown in the example below:
When students join a class that has active assignments (i.e., those that have not passed their due date), they will automatically receive those assignments on their account. Any assignments that have passed their due date will not show up automatically.
If you’d like students to get any past-due assignments, we recommend creating a copy of them. Here’s an article detailing the steps on how to copy assignments.
We hope this new ability helps your lesson planning in preparation for and throughout the upcoming school year!
